Hematite: use for swelling since it has a cooling, relaxing energy that may help reduce inflammation

Essential Oil Lymphatic Drainage Ingredients

Grapefruit: Lymphatic stimulant, tightens skin. It can contain up to 90% of limonene with citral, geraniol, cadinene and paradisol. Grapefruit essential oil is valued for its ability to help with fluid retention and cellulite. It is a diuretic, detoxifier and lymphatic stimulant , helps with cellulite and uplifts the spirits.

Geranium: Lymphatic stimulant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory. Actively provides relief from lymphatic insufficiency and swelling. This floral oil is also a diuretic and thus assists the body in ridding itself of wastes via the urinary system. It is reported to be nontoxic, non-irritating and non-sensitizing.

Ginger: anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and is known to be effective in breaking down and reducing the build-up of toxins in the lymph nodes that would otherwise lead to swelling. It can also help reduce the pain associated with already inflamed nodes due to its action on particular forms of pain receptors – vanilloid (capsaicin) receptors – to minimize discomfort

Cypress ( Cupressus Sempervirens): is also high in monoterpenes (alpha pinene) and is beneficial for decongesting the circulatory and lymphatic systems and also helps with edema, cellulite, varicose veins, and water retention. Cypress stimulates blood and lymph and also circulates the Qi energy of the body.

Juniper Berry (juniperis communis): oil is also high in alpha-pinene. It works as a detoxifier and cleanser. It has been used to promote better nerve and kidney function and aids lymphatic circulation and drainage.

Lavender: called the ‘grandmother’ of essential oils because of its ability to care and nurture us through a variety of physical and psychological imbalances; balance between masculine and feminine traits; calming; protection from outside energies and influences - works on the liver channel, which when blocked is associated with frustration, irritation, and anger. It moves upwards and outwards through the meridian channels, bringing the feelings and emotions stored in the heart and lungs to the surface where they can be processed and released.
